Three panelists survey the fairy tale genre on stage, specifically fairy tale adaptations as Broadway musicals, from Disney productions to Into the Woods, Once Upon a One More Time, and Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella (and more). We will discuss Disney's influence on Broadway musicals, non-Disney fairy tale adaptations, as well as adaptations featuring the lands of Neverland, Oz, and Wonderland. We will discuss designing a fairy tale on stage, and how girl power and true love are depicted from show to show.
